Valtech Mobility operates the “Plug & Charge” backend as a managed service.
In contrast to the rest of the VW Group’s connect backend, the e-mobility backend is not hosted and operated internally, but by Valtech Mobility. Valtech Mobility operates the managed service for all brands and markets.
The international standard ISO 15118 regulates communication between electric vehicles and public charging stations. With the “Plug & Charge” intelligent charging function of the Audi e-tron, the charging station communicates with the vehicle’s charging control unit.
Support for ISO 15118 smart charging concepts and electronic energy billing means that the energy charged is billed automatically.
