Valtech Mobility assumed end-to-end responsibility for the development of the VW Touareg app – from technical project management, backend configuration and integration on the Volkswagen ODP platform to app development for iOS and Android.
An interdisciplinary team of up to 20 experts worked on the implementation for over three years; in addition to the car app development, Valtech Mobility was also responsible for user testing as well as translation and localization management for China.

VW Touareg App China
The VW Touareg User App acts as an interface between the user:interior and vehicle for the Chinese market. Functions of the app include Remote Lock/Unlock, Remote Park Assistant, vehicle information, geo-fencing and a destination synchronization function.

UX Testing China
For the adaptation to the Chinese market, Valtech Mobility conducted UX research and user testing in China. We developed the concept, managed the tests and evaluated the results to customize the app specifically to local usage habits and connected car expectations.
