We are looking for an IT incident specialist to support, consult and assist an automotive client in the north-west of England near Manchester. The role will initially focus on supporting the client with technical issues raised by customers in the field, with scope to develop the role over time, and will suit a professional with incident management experience interested in developing within the exciting Automotive Connected car field.
The position is for a German based company, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid working environment, spending up to 4 days a week on site at the customers offices in Crewe, UK. Days not on site can be worked remotely.
These tasks await you
- Incident management: raising of technical issues and facilitating timely resolution using the tools available.
- Communication with key stakeholders, and escalation of incidents when required.
- Change management: including creating documentation and representing the client at Change control boards.
- Monitoring and reporting of service availability for connected car services and platform – escalating through appropriate channels when SLA not met.
- Supporting the customer with knowledge management and process improvements.
- Working with Valtech Mobility colleagues to develop domain expertise in the connected car field to support customer.
- Developing communication channels and working with colleagues from across wider Automotive group.
- Working with Valtech Mobility colleagues in UK, Germany and beyond to represent the interests of the company, build expertise and work on future projects depending on your own personal interests.
As ideal applicant, you bring along
- Minimum of 3 years experience in IT service management
- Comfortable dealing with a range of stakeholders from technical specialists to management to Suppliers.
- Experience in the end-to-end management of incidents, including raising tickets, tracking progress and escalation.
- Demonstratable change management, problem solving and communication skills.
- Desirable: experience with ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence
- Desirable: 8D problem solving methodologies
- Desirable: ITIL certified
- German language experience is a plus
- Experience of the automotive industry and connected car domain is a plus.
- Experience of working in a complex organization structure is a plus.
